Learn how to set up notifications, location, and App Lock in the Equip mobile app.

When a user signs in to Equip: Independence for the first time, the app may ask them to review setup prompts for notifications, location, and App Lock.

Notifications help users stay aware of messages, updates, and schedule changes. Users can choose whether to allow notifications in the device prompt.

Location can support event check-ins and local weather guidance. Users can choose whether to allow location access.


šŸ”’ App Lock

App Lock helps protect Equip when a user switches away from the app. Depending on the device, users may use Face ID, Face Unlock, Touch ID, fingerprint, or the device passcode.


ā¬‡ļø Required updates

Equip may require users to install important app updates. If a required update appears, follow the prompt to update and restart the app.
