š± What is changing
The new app uses updated Equip branding and has a green background in the app store.
Team members and participants have separate mobile experiences based on their role.
The new app includes updated navigation, mobile workflows, and setup prompts.
ā³ Current Companion users
Customers who are still using Equip: Independence Companion should continue using it until their organization changes over to the new app.
ā New app approval
The new app becomes available after an Equip account admin approves the updated mobile app experience for the organization. Account admins can request access by reaching out to the Equip team.
ā¬ļø Download steps
Open the App Store or Google Play.
Search for Equip: Independence.
Choose the new Equip app with the green background.
Install the app and sign in with the email connected to the Equip account.
š Retirement date
The current Equip: Independence Companion app with the old logo will no longer be available after January 1, 2027.
š” Best practices
Do not ask current customers to delete Companion until their organization changes over.
Share the new team member and participant articles with customers who are preparing for the updated mobile experience.
Confirm access before training so users can sign in successfully.
