Participant access in the Equip mobile app

Learn how participants use the Equip mobile app.

Written by Trent Kocurek

Participants use Equip: Independence to stay connected to their own schedule, supports, communication, and important information.

šŸ“± App access

Participants should download the new Equip app with the green background after their organization approves the updated mobile app experience.

šŸ  Home

The participant Home screen brings important tools into one place. Participants may see upcoming events, routines, announcements, mood check-ins, the Equip Card, and shortcuts to available sections.

šŸ“… Schedule

The Schedule tab shows upcoming events. Participants may be able to check in or check out when an event supports it.

šŸ’¬ Messages and contacts

Participants can use Messages when group messaging is enabled. They can use Contacts when the directory is enabled.

🧩 Available sections

Depending on the organization’s setup, participants may see goals, routines, pathways, documents, notes, assessments, announcements, mood, and the Equip Card. One participant may see different sections than another because access depends on enabled features and assigned items.

šŸ‘¤ Profile

The Profile area lets participants review profile information and settings.

šŸ’” Best practices

  • Confirm the organization has approved the new mobile app before asking participants to download it.

  • Start training with Home, Schedule, Equip Card, and Profile before introducing additional modules.

  • Explain that available sections may vary by participant.
