How to configure mentor registration for events.

Equip allows mentors to self-register for events when event settings permit mentor registration. This feature empowers mentors to take responsibility for their participation while ensuring event organizers can track and manage attendance effectively.


Enabling Mentor Registration for an Event

To allow mentors to register for an event, event organizers must enable the mentor registration setting.

  1. Toggle on “Allow Mentor Registration” during event setup.

  2. Enter the number of Mentors Needed (must be greater than 0).

  3. Choose whether to Notify Mentors when the event is saved.

  4. Decide whether to Allow Mentor Overbooking (optional).


Mentor Notification Settings

🔔 Notify Mentors

  • When enabled, a push notification will be sent to all mentors, informing them that a new event is available for registration.

Allow Mentor Overbooking

  • When enabled, mentors can continue to register even if the event has reached its mentor capacity (i.e., the Mentors Needed count has been surpassed).


Best Practices for Mentor Registration

Enable notifications to keep mentors informed about new opportunities.

Set a realistic mentor capacity based on event needs.

Use overbooking carefully to prevent scheduling conflicts.
