Deleting a Disability Type allows your organization to remove options that are no longer relevant or were created in error. To protect historical participant data and ensure accurate reporting, disability types that are associated with any participant records cannot be deleted.

βš™οΈ Open Account Settings

  • Click your profile photo in the top-right corner of any page

  • Select Account Settings from the dropdown menu

🧩 Go to Disability Type Settings

  • In the left-hand menu, locate the Data Properties section

  • Click Disability Types

  • This opens your Disability Type Library

πŸ—‘οΈ Delete a Disability Type

  • Locate the disability type you want to remove

  • If the disability type has not been used, click the context menu (three dots) on the right-hand side

  • Select Delete Disability Type

    • Note: If a disability type is tied to one or more participant records, the Delete option will not appear. This prevents accidental loss of data used in reports, internal reviews, and accreditation documentation.

⚠️ Confirm Deletion

  • Review the confirmation message

  • Click Confirm to permanently delete the disability type

  • The disability type will be removed from participant profiles and reporting

πŸ“ Equip Tip: Deleting a disability type removes it from all participant records and reports. If the label is still relevant historically, consider editing the name instead of deleting it to preserve data continuity for internal reviews and accreditation.
