Discharge Reasons help document why a participant is set as inactive. Editing existing discharge reasons allows your organization to keep exit data accurate, consistent, and aligned with reporting and accreditation requirements.
⚙️ Open Account Settings
Click your profile photo in the top-right corner of any page
Select Account Settings from the dropdown menu
📋 Go to Discharge Reason Settings
In the left-hand menu, locate the Data Properties section
Click Discharge Reasons
This opens your Discharge Reason Library
✏️ Edit a Discharge Reason
Locate the discharge reason you want to update
Click the context menu (three dots) on the right-hand side
Select Edit Discharge Reason
✅ Save Your Changes
Update the name and disposition as needed
Click Update Discharge Reason to apply your changes
Updates will immediately reflect when setting participants as Inactive and in reporting
📝 Equip Tip: Editing a discharge reason updates it everywhere it’s used. Make changes thoughtfully to maintain clean historical data for internal reviews and accreditation.
