Disability Types help your organization accurately represent participants and support robust reporting for internal reviews and accreditation. These labels appear directly on participant profiles and can be used to analyze trends, outcomes, and compliance across your organization.

  • Click your profile photo in the top-right corner of any page

  • Select Account Settings from the dropdown menu

🧩 Go to Disability Type Settings

  • In the left-hand menu, locate the Data Properties section

  • Click Disability Types

  • This opens your Disability Type Library, where all types are created and managed

βž• Add a New Disability Type

  • Click Add Disability Type in the top-right corner

  • Enter the Name of the disability type

βœ… Save Your Disability Type

  • Click Create Disability Type at the bottom of the form

  • Your new disability type will now be available to add on participant profiles and throughout reporting in Equip

πŸ“ Equip Tip: Keep disability type names consistent with the terminology your organization uses for internal reviews, accreditation documentation, and state or funder reporting. Consistent setup makes exporting and reviewing data significantly easier later on.
