Assigning Participants to Supporters

Learn how to assign participants to supporters with Designated Access in Equip. This step-by-step guide shows you how to manage supporter visibility, adjust access settings, and securely control who can view each participant’s information.

Supporters with Designated Access can only see the participants who are assigned to them. This keeps sensitive information secure while ensuring each supporter has access to the people they work with every day.


👤 Open Your Team Settings

  • Click your profile photo or initials in the top-right corner.

  • Select Team from the menu.

🧑‍🤝‍🧑 Choose the Team Member

  • Click the team member you want to update.

  • Select Edit Profile and Settings.

🔐 Assign Supported Participants

  • Click the Access tab.

  • In the Supported Participants section, choose which participants this supporter should have visibility on.

    • Supporters will only see these assigned participants in Equip.

💾 Save Your Changes

  • Click Save to apply the updated participant assignments.


📝 Equip Tip: Supporters never see legal or medical information, even for the participants they’re assigned to—keeping your organization’s sensitive records protected at every level.
