π Overview
Batch Actions let you select multiple participants from your participant list and perform actions on them all at once β like assigning supporters or adding them to groups. Instead of updating participants one by one, you can handle dozens in a few clicks.
βοΈ How It Works
Open your Participants list β Navigate to your participant list as usual.
Click "Batch Actions" β You'll find a Batch Actions dropdown in the filter bar area at the top of the list. Click it to reveal available actions:
Add to Group β Add selected participants to one or more groups.
Assign Supporter β Assign selected participants to one or more supporters.
Select participants β Once you choose an action, checkboxes appear next to each participant. Check the ones you want, or use Select All on Page to grab everyone on the current page.
Choose your assignment β An action bar appears at the bottom of the screen. Use the dropdown to select the supporter(s) or group(s) you want to assign.
Apply β Click the action button (e.g., "Assign Supporters" or "Add to Groups") to apply the change to all selected participants at once.
Done β The action bar closes and your participants are updated.
π‘ Your selections persist across pages. If you navigate to the next page of results, your previous selections are preserved so you can continue selecting.
β Benefits
Save time β Update many participants at once instead of editing profiles individually.
Consistent assignments β Ensure a group of participants all get the same supporter or group membership in one step.
Flexible selection β Select specific participants or use Select All on Page, and selections carry across pagination.
π‘ Best Practices
Use filters first β Narrow your participant list with filters before starting batch actions. It's easier to select the right participants from a focused list.
Review before applying β The selected count is displayed in the action bar so you can confirm the right number of participants before submitting.
Create new groups on the fly β When using Add to Group, you can type a new group name to create it and assign participants in one step (if you have permission to create groups).
Cancel anytime β Click Cancel or Deselect All to exit batch mode without making changes.
