Use Resend Invite or Send Invitation when a team member missed their invite, the original link expired, or they need a fresh invitation email before signing in for the first time.
đ How It Works
Open your profile photo or initials in the top-right corner.
Select Team Members.
Find the team member who has not accepted their invitation yet. Their status may appear as Invited or Not Invited.
Open the row action menu.
Select Resend Invite or Send Invitation, depending on the team memberâs role and current invite state.
Equip sends a new invitation email to the team memberâs email address.
đ What Happens Next
The team member opens the invitation email and follows the invite link.
If your account requires SSO, the invitation page shows the enabled SSO buttons and does not show the password setup form.
If SSO is not required, the team member may complete their profile and create a password, or use an enabled SSO provider if one is available.
After the invitation is accepted, the team member becomes active for the account. Their ability to use the web app depends on role and web access settings.
đĄ Best Practices
Confirm the team memberâs email address before resending the invite.
Ask the team member to check spam or junk folders if the invite does not arrive.
For SSO users, confirm their Equip email matches the email returned by Google or Microsoft.
Use the Send Invite batch action when several existing team members need invitation emails sent or resent.
â FAQs
Can I resend an invite after it expires?
Yes. Use the row action menu to send a fresh invitation email.
Can I resend an invite to someone who already accepted?
No. Team members who already accepted their invitation are active or inactive users, not pending invitees.
What if the team member still cannot sign in?
Check their status, email address, role, web access settings, and SSO configuration before resetting a password.
What address sends the invite?
Equip invitation emails are sent by Equip notifications. If the invite does not arrive, ask the team member to check spam or junk folders and confirm the email address on their profile.
