The Group Details Report exports group and membership data into an Excel file so teams can review group setup, member participation, categories, tags, and leadership details in one place. It is designed to help you analyze both group-level information and member-level details without opening each group individually.

⚙️ How it works

  1. Go to Reporting.

  2. Open Group Reports.

  3. In Report, select Group Details.

  4. Optionally filter by Groups, Categories, Tags, and Users.

  5. Enter a Report Name, then click Generate Report.

  6. Equip generates the report as an Excel file and sends an email when it is ready.

✅ Benefits

  • Review group and member details together in a single export instead of opening each group record one by one.

  • See participation clearly with member, join date, and leader information included alongside group details.

  • Filter to the right groups quickly using group, category, tag, and user filters.

  • Sort and analyze offline with an Excel file that is easy to share, save, and organize.

⚙️ Customization and options

  • Groups limits the report to one or more specific groups.

  • Categories narrows the export to groups assigned to selected categories.

  • Tags narrows the export to groups with selected tags.

  • Users limits the report to groups that include selected users.

  • Report Name lets you save the export with a custom file name.

📊 Columns included in this report

The Group Details Report exports one Excel worksheet named Groups.

  • Group - The name of the group.

  • Status - The current status of the group.

  • Description - The group description.

  • Chat Enabled - Whether group chat is enabled for the group.

  • Categories - The categories assigned to the group.

  • Tags - The tags assigned to the group.

  • Member - The member listed for that row.

  • Member Email - The email address of the member listed for that row.

  • Joined - The date and time the member joined the group.

  • Leader - Whether the listed member is marked as a group leader.

How rows are structured:
If a group has members, Equip creates one row per membership. If a group has no members, Equip still includes the group and leaves the member-specific columns blank.

💡 Best practices

  • Use a descriptive Report Name so the export is easier to identify later.

  • Apply the Users filter when you want to review only the groups tied to specific people.

  • Use Categories and Tags together to narrow large group lists before exporting.

  • Remember that groups with multiple members will appear across multiple rows, one row per membership.

Can I limit the report to specific users?
Yes. Use the Users filter to limit the report to groups that include selected users.
