Progress updates are the heartbeat of goal tracking in Equip. They allow you to reflect on what’s working, record meaningful observations, and update the status of each In Progress waypoint—all from one place. This helps teams stay aligned and ensures each goal tells the full story of growth over time.

📋 Open the Goal

From the participant’s Goals tab, click into the goal you want to update. This will take you to the Goal Details page, where you can view all related waypoints and past progress updates.

✍️ Click “Log Update”

In the top right of the Goal Details page, click Log Update.

You’ll be prompted to:

  • Select the update date – when the progress occurred

  • Add notes – describe observations, challenges, support provided, or outcomes

📍 Update In Progress Waypoint

Waypoints must be marked In Progress to appear in the form. For each one:

  • Number type – enter a numeric value

  • Single Choice – select the appropriate level

  • Other types – note any context in your update notes

Waypoints marked as Completed or Not Started will not appear.

📊 Review Progress Over Time

Once saved:

  • The update is added to the goal’s timeline

  • Graphs are updated automatically for Number and Single Choice waypoints

You can return to this goal anytime to view trends, reflect on notes, or adjust future steps.

📝 Equip Tip: Keep the Story Going

Use progress updates not just to report numbers—but to tell the story of how someone is growing. These notes provide insight for the whole team and help guide support going forward.
