What are Groups?

Groups in Equip provide a way to organize multiple users, streamlining tasks like assigning events, routines, or assessments to multiple individuals with just one click. Administrators can create groups based on relationships, shared interests, or specific needs, such as friends, classmates, classes, or peers. Additionally, Groups' secure real-time chat functionality within the Equip app. These chats are visible to group members and can be edited or deleted by administrators when necessary, ensuring a safe and manageable communication environment.

How Do Groups Work?

Groups in Equip serve two main functions:

1. Classification System: Groups act as a powerful organizational tool for Administrators. They allow admins to categorize users, making it easy to mass-assign tasks, routines, events, or assessments to multiple individuals with just one action. This saves time and ensures consistency across the program.

2. Chat Functionality: Groups also function as a secure, real-time communication space. When chat is enabled, group members can interact within the Equip app. These chats are visible to all group members and can be moderated, edited, or deleted by administrators to maintain a safe and constructive environment.

This dual functionality makes Groups a versatile and efficient feature for streamlining program management and fostering collaboration.

Personalization and Daily Use

Groups are customizable and controlled by Administrators or designated Mentors. This flexibility allows programs to tailor groups to their specific needs, ensuring seamless integration into daily operations.
