Everything you need to know about adding routines from your calendar

Steps for Adding a Routine from Your Calendar:

  1. The first step in adding a routine to the calendar is locating the calendar on the left-hand toolbar. To do this, select “Calendar” in the navigation menu.

2. To get started, click on the “Add Routine” button in the top right. Here, you will be able to add information about your routine and invite users to add the routine to their calendar.

3. On the dropdown menu in the upper left-hand corner titled “Routine” select create routine or select a pre-created routine from your routine library (Hyperlink ROUTINE HOW TO).

4. If pre-created routine was selected, skip to step 7.

5. If “Create Routine” was selected, start by titling your routine in the following text box.

6. If “Create Routine” was selected, choose a category for your routine from the dropdown menu. These will be color-coordinated on the calendar. Learn more about categories here: (INSERT LINK ABOUT CATEGORIES)

7. Select tags for your routine from the dropdown menu. Learn more about tags here: (INSERT LINK ABOUT TAGS)

8. Select the date for your routine.

9. Select the start time for your routine

10. Next, type a description for the routine. Generally, this is where the Routine is described. The step-by-step sequence of the routine is added at a later step. There are also additional features that can be enabled here like hyperlinks, phone numbers, and email addresses.

11. Toggle “Recurring Routine” if you would like for the routine to repeatedly occur on the calendar.

12. If “Recurring Routine” was toggled, select the frequency at which you would like the routine to recur (daily, weekly, or monthly).

13. If “Recurring Routine” was toggled, select the date you would like routine to repeat until.

14. In the “New Task” text box, name the first step in the routine.

15. Repeat step 14 to continue to add tasks for each step of the routine.

16. Search for recipients and add the routine to their calendar. Here you may select individuals or groups to assign the routine to.

17. Finally, select “Schedule Routine” at the bottom of the screen.

18. Congratulations! You have successfully added a routine to your calendar. Your event will now be visible on your calendar and the calendars of the users the routine was shared with.
