Mood Navigator setup happens in two places: account-level feature settings and participant-level mood settings. Account admins can make the feature available for the organization, then support teams can personalize each participant’s mood experience with mood settings, coping options, reminders, alert subscribers, and the participant-level enable toggle.
🌐 Turn On Mood Navigator Organization-Wide
Go to Account Settings.
Open Feature Settings.
Turn on Mood Navigator.
Optionally turn on Enable for Everyone if you want to enable Mood Navigator for all current participants at the same time.
Click Save.
If you turn on Mood Navigator for the account without using Enable for Everyone, you can still enable it participant by participant.
👤 Configure Mood Navigator for a Participant
Open the participant’s profile.
Open Mood Navigator from the participant profile navigation, or click Personalize from the Mood Navigator card on the participant profile.
Review the participant’s mood setup page. This page includes mood personalization, scheduled reminders, alert subscribers, and the Enable Mood Navigator toggle.
🎨 Personalize Moods
Find the mood you want to customize.
Click Personalize.
Update the mood label, background color, image, or message.
Click Save Mood.
Participant-level mood personalization changes how that existing mood appears for that participant. It does not add or remove base moods from the account-level mood set.
🧭 Add Coping Options
Find the mood that should show the coping option.
Click Add Coping Option.
Enter a title.
Choose the option type: text, URL, or phone.
Enter the option content.
Click Add Coping Option.
Participants see these options after they select the related mood in the mobile app. Text options open a detail screen, URL options open a web view, and phone options start a phone call.
⏰ Schedule Reminders
In Scheduled Reminders, click Add Reminder.
Enter a title and message.
Choose the Reminder Time.
Select the days of the week.
Use the Active toggle to turn the reminder on or off.
Click Add Reminder.
Reminders are scheduled only when Mood Navigator is enabled for the participant and the reminder is active.
🔔 Add Alert Subscribers
In Alert Subscribers, click Add Subscriber.
Choose the team member who should receive alerts.
Select the moods that should trigger an alert for that subscriber.
Click Save Subscriber.
A subscriber receives mood alerts only when they are active in the account and have Mood Alerts enabled in their notification settings.
✅ Enable the Participant
Turn on Enable Mood Navigator.
Click Save.
When Mood Navigator is turned off for a participant, existing reminder notifications for that participant are removed. Turning it back on schedules active reminders again.
💡 Best Practices
Set up coping options before enabling Mood Navigator for a participant so the first mobile experience is useful.
Use reminder schedules that fit the participant’s routine instead of overprompting throughout the day.
Choose alert subscribers based on who should act on the information.
Review the participant’s mood history after setup to confirm the feature is being used as intended.
