Starting an Assessment

Starting an Assessment in Equip is straightforward and allows you to easily evaluate individuals by completing the assessment questions. Follow these step-by-step instructions to get started:


From Assessment Library

1. Navigate to the Assessments Page

  • From your dashboard, select Assessments in the navigation menu to access the assessments library.

2. Locate and Start the Assessment

  • Find the assessment you want to begin. Click the three dots on the right-hand side of the desired assessment and select Start from the dropdown menu.

3. Select the Assessee

  • A pop-up window will appear, prompting you to choose the assessee (the person you are assessing) from the dropdown list. Once selected, click Start to proceed.

4. Set the Assessment Date

  • Select the date for the assessment. The default will be the current date, but you can adjust this if needed.

5. Verify Your Information

  • Ensure that your name is correct in the Name field and that your email address is accurate in the Email Address field.

6. Answer the Assessment Questions

  • Begin answering the questions as prompted by the assessment. Continue working through each question, ensuring that all required fields are completed.

7. Submit Another Response (Optional)

  • If you need to complete another assessment immediately after submitting this one, toggle the Submit Another Response option.

8. Submit the Assessment

  • Once all questions have been answered, click Submit Response to complete the assessment.


From Student Profile

1. Navigate to the Student’s Profile

  • From your dashboard, select Students in the navigation menu.

  • Use the search bar or scroll to locate the student whose assessment you need to access.

  • Click on their name to open their profile.

2. Access the Assessments Tab

  • Within the student’s profile, navigate to the Assessments tab.

  • This section houses all assessments associated with the student.

3. Locate and Start an Assessment

  • Click the Start Assessment button to begin.

  • A pop-up window will appear, with a dropdown menu, that allows you to select an Assessment

  • Click Start to begin the Assessment for the student

4. Confirm Response Details

  • Select the appropriate date for the assessment. The default will be the current date, but you can adjust this if needed.

  • Your name will be listed as the assessor. If you are filling this out on behalf of someone else, update the name and email.

6. Complete the Assessment

  • Work through each question in the assessment, ensuring all required fields are completed before proceeding.

7. Submit Another Response (Optional)

  • If you need to complete another assessment for the student immediately after submitting this one, toggle the Submit Another Response option.

8. Submit the Assessment

  • Once all questions have been answered, click Submit Response to finalize the assessment.
