Updated today

The Goal Progress Updates Report exports goal progress update data into Excel workbooks so teams can review update history, waypoint responses, notes, and routine session activity in a structured format. It is designed to help you analyze progress over time for the people, goals, and waypoints that match your selected filters.

⚙️ How it works

  1. Go to Reporting.

  2. Open Goal Reports.

  3. In Report, select Progress Updates.

  4. Choose a Date Range.

  5. Optionally filter by Goal Status, Waypoint Status, Categories, the people filter shown for your account, and Groups.

  6. Enter a Report Name, then click Generate Report.

  7. Equip generates a ZIP file. Inside the ZIP, each selected person receives a separate Excel workbook. Each matching goal appears on its own worksheet, and goals with routine-based waypoints also receive a separate routine sessions worksheet.

✅ Benefits

  • Review progress update history in context with goal details, waypoint responses, and notes in the same export.

  • See routine-based activity separately through dedicated routine sessions worksheets when routine waypoints are included.

  • Focus on the right records with filters for goal status, waypoint status, categories, people, and groups.

  • Share and analyze updates offline with downloadable Excel workbooks organized by person and goal.

⚙️ Customization and options

  • Date Range filters progress updates by Update Date and filters routine sessions by Started At within the selected range.

  • Goal Status limits the report to selected goal statuses.

  • Waypoint Status limits the report to selected waypoint statuses.

  • Categories narrows the report to goals assigned to selected categories.

  • The people filter shown for your account lets you limit the report to specific participants or person records.

  • Groups limits the report to goals tied to people in selected groups.

  • Report Name lets you customize the exported file name.

📊 Columns included in this report

This export is delivered as a ZIP file of Excel workbooks.

Workbook structure:
Equip creates one Excel workbook for each selected person. Inside each workbook, every matching goal gets its own progress updates worksheet. If that goal includes routine-based waypoints, Equip also adds a separate Routine Sessions worksheet for that goal.

Progress updates worksheet standard columns:

  • User - The person the goal belongs to.

  • Goal Title - The name of the goal.

  • Goal Status - The current status of the goal.

  • Goal Start Date - The goal start date.

  • Goal End Date - The goal end date.

  • Update Date - The date of the progress update.

Progress updates worksheet dynamic waypoint columns:
For each non-routine waypoint in the goal, Equip adds columns based on the waypoint title. If the waypoint uses a long-answer response, the worksheet adds one column using the exact waypoint title. For other non-routine waypoint types, the worksheet adds two columns: the exact waypoint title and [Waypoint Title] Comments.

Progress updates worksheet final column:

  • Notes - The notes saved with the progress update.

Routine Sessions worksheet columns:

  • Waypoint Title - The routine-based waypoint tied to the session.

  • Routine - The routine name.

  • Session Date - The session date.

  • Started At - The session start timestamp.

  • Completed At - The session completion timestamp.

  • Time Taken - The elapsed time between start and completion.

  • Score - The routine session progress percentage.

  • Threshold - The completion threshold configured for the waypoint.

  • Met Threshold - Whether the session met the waypoint threshold.

💡 Best practices

  • Use a descriptive Report Name that includes the reporting period or program name so the ZIP file is easier to identify later.

  • Apply both Goal Status and Waypoint Status filters before exporting when you only need certain stages of progress.

  • Use a tighter Date Range when you want to review a specific update window instead of the full goal history.

  • Expect worksheet columns to vary by goal when waypoint titles or waypoint response types differ.

❓ FAQs

What file type do I receive?
The Goal Progress Updates Report is delivered as a ZIP file that contains Excel .xlsx workbooks.

How are the files organized?
Equip creates one workbook per selected person. Each matching goal appears on its own worksheet, and goals with routine-based waypoints also include a separate routine sessions worksheet.

Will every workbook have the same columns?
Not always. The standard goal columns stay the same, but waypoint response columns depend on the non-routine waypoints included in each goal and use the exact waypoint titles.

Why do some goals include a Routine Sessions worksheet?
Equip adds that worksheet when a goal includes one or more routine-based waypoints.

How does the Date Range filter work?
The report filters progress updates by Update Date. Routine sessions are filtered by their Started At timestamp within the same selected range.
