At Equip, we understand that different organizations have unique ways of referring to their team members and participants. To accommodate this diversity, we've implemented a flexible naming system for key roles within our platform.

Adaptive Terminology

Depending on your account type, you may notice that the terms used for certain roles vary. This adaptive approach ensures that the language used in Equip aligns with your organization's specific context and terminology.

Admin Role

The "Admin" role remains consistent across all account types. Admins are the primary managers of your Equip account, responsible for overseeing operations and settings.

Student/Consumer Role

The term used for the "Student" role can vary based on your account type:

  • Program: Student

  • Family: Explorer

  • Residential Living Community (RLC): Resident

  • Consumer Reporting Program (CRP): Consumer

This role generally refers to the primary beneficiaries or participants in your program.

Mentor/Supporter Role

Similarly, the "Mentor" role may be referred to differently:

  • Program: Mentor

  • Family, RLC and CRP: Supporter

This role typically represents individuals who provide guidance, support, or oversight to the students/consumers.

How It Works

Our system automatically adjusts the terminology based on your account type. For example, if you're using a Family account, you'll see "Explorer" instead of "Student" and "Supporter" instead of "Mentor" throughout the platform.

Benefits of Adaptive Terminology

  1. Improved Clarity: Using familiar terms reduces confusion and improves user understanding.

  2. Enhanced User Experience: Participants feel more at home when the platform speaks their language.

  3. Flexibility: Our system accommodates various organizational structures and philosophies.

Important Note

While the terms may change, the fundamental roles and permissions associated with each remain consistent across account types. This ensures that the core functionality of Equip remains stable and predictable, regardless of the terminology used.

By adapting to your preferred terminology, Equip aims to provide a more personalized and intuitive experience for all users, regardless of their organizational context.
