Setting Up Pathways

Learn how to set up pathways in Equip, including step-by-step instructions and a bulk import template to speed up account setup.

Pathways help you organize services into step-by-step workflows. Each pathway can include billing details and multiple steps that guide your team and track participant progress. You can create them manually or import them in bulk during account setup.


πŸ“‚ Go to the Pathways Tab

  • Click Pathways from the left-hand navigation menu.


βž• Add a New Pathway

  • Click Add Pathway in the top-right corner.


Enter Pathway Details

  • Name – Title for your pathway.

  • Description – Brief summary of what the pathway is for.

  • Code – Optional reference code for billing or tracking.

  • Billable Toggle – Turn this on if the pathway includes billable services.

    • If billable, enter the Price and Hour(s).

Create the First Step

  • Click Create Step to finalize the initial setup.

Add Additional Steps (if needed)

  • After saving the first step, click Add Step to build out the rest of the workflow.


πŸ“₯ Importing Pathways in Bulk

Setting up multiple pathways? Use Equip’s spreadsheet template to speed up the process. Contact the Equip team to import Pathways.

  • Fill out each row using the following columns:

    • pathway – Name of the pathway

    • step – Title of the step

    • description – (Optional) Notes or explanation for the step

    • code – Optional code used internally or for billing

    • position – Step order (1 for first, 2 for second, etc.)

    • price – If billable, enter the dollar amount (e.g., 100)

    • price_by – Unit of billing (e.g., hour, session)



Equip Tip: You can always edit or expand a pathway later. Focus on creating clear, meaningful steps that reflect how your team actually delivers servicesβ€”this helps ensure smoother onboarding, billing, and progress tracking from day one.
