You can delete an individual message from a group conversation when you have permission. Deleting a message removes that message from the conversation for its members; it does not delete the whole chat or group.
Delete your own message in the new Equip app
Open the group conversation.
Press and hold the message you sent.
Select Delete and confirm.
The new app shows the delete action for your own messages. It does not expose that action on other members’ messages, even when your web permissions allow moderation.
Moderate messages on the web
Where web group chat is enabled and available to you, open the group’s chat and use the message’s delete action. The message author, a group leader, a team member with full scope of support, or the account owner can delete a message, subject to access to the conversation.
Can I delete the entire conversation this way?
No. Message deletion applies to the selected message. Removing a group is a separate action with separate permissions.
Before deleting a message
Check that you selected the intended message before confirming. Deletion removes it from the conversation for everyone; the app does not offer an Undo or Restore action. Deleting a message does not delete the group or the rest of its conversation.
