Routines can now be presented in two different formats: Checklist and Walkthrough. Each type supports different learning styles and levels of independence. Read this article to determine which format best fits your scenario.

Choosing a Presentation Type

When creating or editing a routine in Equip, you’ll now see an option to choose a presentation format. The two available types are:

🟩 Checklist: Simple and Flexible

What it is:

A full list of tasks is shown on one screen. Users can complete the steps in any order.

Best for:

  • Daily routines with familiar steps (e.g., Morning Prep)

  • Users who already know what to do

  • Routines that may vary or skip around

Example:

πŸͺ₯ Brush teeth

🍳 Make breakfast

πŸŽ’ Pack bag

🟦 Walkthrough: Guided and Focused

What it is:

A fullscreen, step-by-step experience. One task appears at a time, with large visuals and buttons to move forward.

Best for:

  • Teaching new routines or tasks

  • Users who benefit from visual focus and fewer choices

  • Breaking down complex activities (e.g., Doing Laundry)
